Clinical Instructor

Dr. Oji RN, DNP, FNP-BC earned her Masters Degree at University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and her doctorate from Duke University, North Carolina. She currently is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She applies her extensive simulation education background in the classroom to teach excellent and precise hands-on skills. Her passion is helping advanced practitioners and students build confidence in learning procedures and clinical skills. She is a follower of Christ and her world view is based on biblical principles.

Clinical Instructor

Dr. Francisco Ayala, DNP, RN, FNP- C is a Family Nurse Practitioner from University of Texas Health Science Center Houston and his doctorate degree from Duke University North Carolina. He currently practices family medicine in a private practice clinic in Houston, TX where he performs numerous hands on procedures. He has excellent knowledge in primary care skills and serves as a clinical instructor in the procedures workshop of a graduate nursing program in Houston TX. His passion is teaching psychomotor skills in academia and improving student’s clinical knowledge base.

Clinical Instructor

Kenneth Howard is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center with Emergency training and experience. He currently works as an emergency nurse practitioner and frequently performs advanced practice skills. He has extensive experience with hands-on skills and enjoys working with patients and teaching student’s diagnostic skills.

Hilma Bochantin MSN, APRN, FNP-C, ENP-C, CEN is a Nurse Practitioner, Board-certified in Family and Emergency medicine. Both her undergraduate and graduate degrees were completed at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where she also obtained a post-graduate certification in Emergency/Trauma care.

She enjoys the opportunity to perform advanced procedures and techniques, which her current work with the University of Texas Medical Branch’s Urgent Care Centers provides daily. She has been committed to providing the best possible care in community-based settings over the course of her 22-year career in Emergency Medicine at different levels.

In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, watching movies, and participating in outdoor activities.

Clinical Instructor

Kennikqua Thompson MSN, APRN, FNP-C, ENP-C is a Nurse Practitioner, board certified in Family and Emergency Medicine. She currently works in an Urgent Care Clinic in Houston and also works part-time in the Emergency Department in Kingwood TX. She has 16 years combined experience as a registered nurse and a Nurse Practitioner.

She has also worked as an Adjunct Nursing Instructor. She is extremely passionate about education, teaching excellent hands-on clinincal skills and helping advanced practice providers excel in the healthcare industry. Outside of teaching she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Clinical Instructor

Christina Johnson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Nurse Practitioner certified in Family Medicine. She currently works full-time in a School of Nursing in Pearland, TX, and works part-time in a Med Spa in Houston, TX. She has 12 years combined experience as a registered nurse and a Nurse Practitioner.

Previous work experience has included working with a general surgery group and working in Orthopedic and Neurosurgery. Christina enjoys expanding her knowledge and believes that continual learning and expansion of knowledge are at the heart and foundation of growth.
She is passionate about educating students at all levels in their pathway to caring for patients. Christina believes that with the proper motivation and educated guidance, one can achieve their goals.

Outside of her work duties, Christina enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and fur babies, being outdoors, and going to church. She looks forward to the opportunity to work with you!
